Common use

Sibelium tablet is a medicine used to manage migraines. It helps improve blood flow and widen blood vessels in the brain, reducing the frequency and severity of migraines. This medicine is commonly prescribed for intense headaches accompanied by symptoms like dizziness and vertigo.

Dosage and direction

Take Sibelium exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Maintain a consistent schedule by taking it at the same time every day. Do not skip any doses and complete the full course of treatment.

Precautions

Depressive illness: If you have current or recurrent depression, consult your doctor before using Sibelium.
Parkinson's disease: Sibelium is contraindicated for patients with Parkinson's disease.
Caution is advised in older adults and patients with existing depression, Parkinson’s disease, lactose intolerance, or liver damage.

Contraindications

It is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to Flunarizine. It is also contraindicated in patients having depression, Parkinson’s disease, lactose intolerance, or liver damage.

Possible side effect

Taking Sibelium tablet may cause some side effects. Here are a few common ones to be aware of: Fatigue: Feeling tired and lacking energy. This is normal and should subside with time; Constipation: Difficulty passing stools. Drink plenty of fluids and eat foods high in fibre to help alleviate this; Nausea: Feeling sick to your stomach. Try eating small, frequent meals and avoid greasy or spicy foods; Runny nose: Having a watery or stuffy nose. Use a saline nasal spray to relieve congestion; Difficulty sleeping: Trouble falling asleep or staying asleep. Establish a bedtime routine and create a comfortable sleep environment.

Drug interaction

Antidepressants: Avoid using Sibelium if you are taking antidepressants like fluoxetine or sertraline.
Antihypertensives: Combining Sibelium with medications for high blood pressure, such as amlodipine or metoprolol, can cause excessive drowsiness and low blood pressure.
Sedatives/Hypnotics: Taking Sibelium with sleep aids like zolpidem or diazepam can increase sedation.

Missed dose

If you forget to take Sibelium as instructed, take it as soon as you remember. If it's almost time for your next dose, skip the missed one and resume your regular dosage schedule. Never increase your dosage without consulting your doctor.

Overdose

If you accidentally take too much Sibelium, seek immediate medical attention. Taking an overdose can lead to symptoms like drowsiness, fatigue, constipation, nausea, a runny nose, and difficulty sleeping. Contact your doctor or visit a nearby hospital.

Storage

Store Sibelium in a cool and dry place. Protect it from light and moisture to maintain its effectiveness. Keep the medicine out of reach of children. Make sure to use the product before its expiry date.
